33rd ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON THE GEOLOGY OF LONG ISLAND
AND METROPOLITAN NEW YORK
The 33rd annual Long Island Geology Conference will be held on Sunday April 19, 20256 beginning at 9:00 am. The meeting will be held live at Stony Brook University and by Zoom (link provided upon registration).
This year we will also have a field trip to visit Cretaceous outcrops at Garvies Point and Makamah Beach, led by Bret Bennington of Hofstra University. This trip will begin at 11 am on Saturday April 18, 2026
Abstracts for the conference are open-format and should be emailed to Steven Jaret at steven.jaret@stonybrook.edu.
Abstracts are due by Monday April 2, 2026
Please use the Abstract Template provided below, with the following guidelines:
- Abstracts that do not follow the format for title and author names will be returned to the authors.
- Titles should be written with the first letter of each word capitalized. Do not use all caps for titles.
- Authors should be listed as LastName, A. B., LastName, A. B,.
- There is no specific format or length for abstracts. However, abstracts longer than 9 pages must have internal bookmarks.
- All abstracts MUST be ADA compliant for websites.
